The KingPin PAL is an add-on lever system designed to work with AR Maglock Gen 2 or Gen 4 and a KingPin. It improves ergonomics and allows faster, more natural magazine changes making a fixed-mag rifle function closer to a standard mag release while staying compliant. It also helps with easier malfunction clearing and overall usability.
AR Maglock Gen 2 / Gen 4 (with KingPin)
The AR Maglock system is a fixed magazine locking device that keeps your rifle compliant by preventing magazine release unless the action is slightly opened. When paired with the KingPin, it allows quick separation of the upper and lower receiver for faster reloads.
- Gen 2: Basic fixed-mag solution with a more fixed, less adjustable setup
- Gen 4: Updated version with improved adjustability to fit a wider range of receivers and allow finer tuning for function and compatibility

IMPORTANT COMPATIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: The KingPin PAL is designed to work ONLY with a complete AR Maglock Gen 2 or Gen 4 system, including:• AR Maglock fixed magazine device• AR Maglock Kingpin rear takedown pinThe PAL system is NOT compatible with:• Juggernaut Tactical Hellfighter pins or systems• Any non-AR Maglock rear takedown pins• Ambidextrous bolt release systems or controlsSome users have modified their AR Maglock systems to work with ambidextrous controls, however the PAL system is not designed to function with those setups. In most cases, ambidextrous safeties will still work.The KingPin PAL is designed around standard MIL-SPEC uppers and lowers. Function cannot be guaranteed with billet receivers or mixed upper/lower combinations.Before purchasing, please confirm you are using a complete AR Maglock Gen 2 or Gen 4 system with a Kingpin.
INSTALLATION TIPS: Some minor gunsmithing may be required for proper function with the AR Maglock Gen 2 or Gen 4, Kingpin, and KingPin PAL system.Installation of the KingPin PAL requires removal of the rear takedown pin detent and detent spring. To do this, you will need to remove the castle nut and end plate/back plate. Depending on your lower receiver, it may be possible to install the PAL system without removing the AR Maglock. However, in some setups, the AR Maglock may also need to be removed and reinstalled during installation of the PAL.For easier installation, we recommend loosening or removing the AR Maglock if needed to avoid scratching or forcing parts into place. Always function test your rifle after installation to ensure proper operation before use.

Living in California is GREAT, except for the gun laws… Straight TRASH! BUT, adding this set-up to my weaponry made it easier to enjoy our 2nd Amendment with ease. Works great, easy install, and awesome idea overall. Thanks for stealing my money =]
This is hands down light years ahead of the JT Hellfighter setup I was running. Mags drop quick. It did require some minor adjustments but once it's dialed in you're gold! No regrets..
Great product, if you run the ar maglock and kingpin the Klvr pal is a great addition. Easy install and very worth it to me.
Way better than then juggernaut, just feels natural
Living in California this PAL system is a life saver and prevents from having to install that ugly grip with the fin. My first attempt on putting it on failed due to user (me) error but was replaced without hesitation. Currently waiting on my new rifle part kit to come in and going to be installing this system on it.
Best ca option by far. With maglock kingpin and pal you retain bolt catch and can drop mag no matter if action open or closed with a single button! I went featureless for awhile Because I just couldn't find a option that wasn't a major hassle but klvr co changed the game!
With the right angle and some use it’ll work just fine. Ended up using the little pad to help the mag release since the lever is a little high, but overall faster reloads and easier to train people how to use an AR without having to worry to much about CA complainer
This system works like a charm, I opted to have it installed by a local trusted gunsmith, Chosen Armory. I have a F1 Firearms AR15 fixed mag firing both 556/223. I had this system installed before I even fired the rifle once. I do not regret it. Not only does it function perfectly, but it looks very cool. If you’re on the fence, trust me just pull the trigger.
After 6 months of being installed on my Springfield Saint Victor and shooting 5.56mm (62 grain Ball M855) ammunition... the PAL broke... literally came off and will not stay connected to the Kingpin.
It looks like the notch on the PAL wore off and the notch is now non-existent. Big disappointment. Now I have to put the retaining pin and spring back in on the Kingpin.
This is magnificent equipment. The design is very elegant, and is so simple, and works incredibly well. The fit is just right, and the functionality is flawless. The little squish pad provided helped reduce the travel to the mag release, allowing a softer press to get the mag out. This hardware is now a must on any future builds I do.
Bout to test it out today, but love the ease of NOT having to touch the kingpin. I’m sure califukya will find a way to ban this as well

Bit more than a just 1.2.3. instillation but it’s awesome living in a compliant state and having a semi normal rifle

With some sanding down my DB 15 was able to operate with equipment seamlessly.

Great system for CA compliance ! I replaced the Juggernaut system that came stock with my S&W M&P15 Sport III with the AR Maglock Kingpin PAL System V2 and it is Sooooooo much easier to use. And it's also so much easier to fully separate the upper and lower without the complexity of the detent and spring which the Maglock system does not require. This was the best decision I made on my AR15 !
Great system. Needs a little adjustment but the klvr bar is an amazing product to help with these crazy regulations in California.
Kingpin pal v2 works great with my anderson ar15 lower. I had an issue with the v1 with the notch breaking and the guys at klvrco were kind enough to send me a v2 replacement. Even works consistently with the bolt back.
The maglock work , but the kingpin pal did not. After many attempts I finally got the pal to work with the maglock. I took it down to the range and my AR kept braking open when it shouldn't, had to dig bullets out with a flat head to clear jams. It either didn't break open the top from lower or it constantly opened when it shouldn't have. I have discarded the pal lever system and just left the AR mag lock. Might work good on other AR's but my christensen's ca 15 G2 didn't like it.
